Cool Igor and The Red Elvises stuff

The crowd is anxiously awaiting for "Igor and The Red Elvises" to take the stage. While we're waiting, we are talking with total strangers about the last time we saw this band. Then, finally, they come out. "Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome 'Igor and The Red Elvises."" Igor straps on his gold guitar that is, I'm guessing, airbrushed with palm trees (maybe a tribute to the bands current digs in Venice, California. Then he saunters up to the microphone, and says, "Are you ready for some rockenroll?" The crowd, loudly indicates their pleasure to hear some. But, Igor, the consumate showman, gestures for the crowd to make even more noise, and then even more, and even more.......................it becomes almost deafening before the band starts. They've been around for along time now, so the repetoire is large enough, that in an hour-and-a-half show, you'll never hear all of their stuff, but I guarantee you'll hear their best stuff. The aren't a cover band, their songs are mostly original. Their billed on MusikFest's program as "Surf Rock," I don't know if that would be how I would classify it, because they certainly don't sound like the Beach Boys, as a matter of fact, I don't think there is any other band that they sound like. They sound like "Igor and The Red Elvises." They've even done a sound track for a movie called "Six String Samauri." I have my particular favorite song "I Wanna See You Belly Dance" which is kind of a combination of Indian Belly Dance Music and kick-ass rock. The rock portion has a very prominent bass guitar backing, and it just gets inside you. Another favorite of mine is, "Love Rocket." You can see a video of a live performance of this song at MusikFest below. Enjoy it. You can find show dates and other cool stuff for "Igor and The Red Elvises" at
